I would agree, the green is probably the most aggressive and adaptable
sunfish, although dollar sunfish males can be very nasty, but usually only
to species of similar coloration. And there is always that rogue in any
species someone is "lucky" enough to get in their tank. For non true
sunfish the greenXpumpkinseed hybrid surpasses the pure green sunfish in
aggressiveness. In my experience pumpkinseeds were pretty docile, a little
gill flaring and nipping, but no full blown scale peeling fin shredding
going on with those fish.
