NANFA-- Sunfish behavior

I have noticed another interesting thing while some of the sunfish I have
are gaurding young. I do not know if all dollars do this, or if other
species do to. What I saw with these last couple spawns is that when I
would feed them, the male would gobble up a lot of food. He would hold it
in his mouth, swim down over the nest, and proceed to messily chew it up. I
just thought he was being a pig at first ( ala oscars). Later I noticed the
fry swimming around with distended bellies the color of the food I feed the
male. It appears anyways that he was feeding his fry.
