Bruce,
It (Battle Creek) runs directly into the Tenn. Riv., with Georgia straight
across the river. Since the water level was raised greatly by the TVA dam
projects, the mouth of the creek, going into the Big T, was really deep and
was a favorite place, for me to catch big, fat, crappie (we calls 'em
"specks" down in my home state of FL) The only problem was having to
remove about ten buffalo for every crappie. Oh the joys of a misspent
youth!

I'm not
sure if it runs into the Sequatchie River before the Sequatchie joins the
Tennessee, or if Battle Creek is a direct tributary.
