My newly acquired Blue Ridge Sculpins are in breeding trim. I have one male
that is all decked out in his breeding best and one female that is very
rotund with eggs. They are now residing in their very own 45 gallon cube
tank. The tank has been set up for a couple of years and has a fine sand
substrate with lots of clams and an air stone for aeration but no filter. I
had to take out some darters and blue spotted sunfish to make room but if
they spawn it will be worth it. I put in an old concrete cave for them to
make a nest in but if they don't take to it I'll just prop a flat rock up to
the cave.
