I guess I should count my blessings. I thought barely getting above freezing
Sunday was quite a feat. The downside to this "warmth" is now it is
snowing this fine crystal like crap. Its slippery like freezing rain. Cars
in the ditch. Luckily we only have a few inches. Further west I guess they
are being dumped on. Not only hoping it will warm up more, but hoping this
will ever melt.

I took advantage of the "warmth" and went out to the marsh. Anytime the
temps go up like this, its a good time to find lots of fish. Sure enough,
all the open water was just coursing with various fish. Mostly yellow perch
and yellow bullheads. If the herons could have hung around through the cold,
they would have quite a feast! I am sure down on the river any open water is
stacked with carp.
