NANFA-- The Great Bluehead Hunt

BG being retired, and I being unemployed, we made an impromptu
trip to N. Louisiana to collect some Pteronotropis hubbsi. After
wading through the cypress swamps we came up with several
Fundulus dispar, F. chrysotus, one small Ellasoma zonatum, and ONE
(count 'em!) P. hubbsi. We watched some foks fishing in deeper
water who were catching crappie one after the other. Later, BG
surmised that's where the hubbsi were - in the deeper water feeding
the crappie.

The trip wasn't a total bust-I managed to find my fossil site and we
did pretty well there.

Prost,

Martin
