I really have no response to this because I can't understand what your
point is. Simply put, you guys are really reading WAY more into this then I
originally intended. I asked a simple question, looking for a simple
answer, which one person provided. I was not looking for all these
philosophical meanderings on the meaning of life and death.

"wild-caught" fish eating "wild-caught" feeders!! How could anyone do such
a
thing?

Can we trust the pet store/bait shop feeders? We aren't sure where they
came
from...

It's a need for feed thing & the convenience or the thrill of the hunt
thing
or the care so much I will make it feel at home in my home. The basic
belief-I have caught something wild and will feed it what it would have
possibly eaten had we not kept it. Of course after capture is it still
considered wild? I shouldn't think so. We have limited the choices and the
freedom. Possibly we have over or under provided. We do what we feel will
be
good for our friends may create overweight friends or cause the passing of
some. It makes us feel good that we may possibly be doing something helpful
and good. But just how helpful & good are we? Most of us will be
hypocrites.
Trying to do so much good and actually causing so much harm and (possibly)
not knowing or realising. "Equal and opposite reactions" in a sense. We are
trying to play mother nature and feel good about doing it (for the most
part).

Is survival of a (all) species necessary? Are extinction & death so
devastating?
Does this allow others to possibly evolve thereby creating more where
others
had once been?

This is one HUGE can of worms...(I think worms kept in cans could possibly
be another!) ;) I think I've started, I mean said, enough for now. Any
opinions? Do I need to ask? ;) Amy

(Sorry to those who have already conquered these topics. I apologise if I
included anyone in the 'we' that did not wish to be included. I'm a newbie
to this list. I must say I enjoy most of what I read here and I'm
considering membership.)
