Travis,

What they don't know won't hurt them. Put a plant in it and voila, the worm
box is just a planter used to spruce up your boring old dorm room.

FYI. The guy in the dorm room next to mine (many years ago) kept a timber
rattler and a 16 foot long, 130 lb reticulated python in his room without
the powers that be knowing! However, this is not recommended!

Also, as the father of a high school senior who does not share any of my
interests in the natural world (although my elementary school age daughters
do), please pass the following on to your parents:

To the parents of Travis Haas:
You are to be congratulated for raising a son with an environmental
conscious who obviously is self motivated, dedicated, and thirsty for
knowledge. You obviously have provided him with the encouragement and
freedom to explore his areas of interest and from what I have seen in his
communications, he has a fine future ahead of him.
