Low-tech solution -

I've been getting small styrofoam boxes from vet offices (FOR FREE!!!) in
which to ship fish. They almost always include some of those "chiller packs"
that you put in the freezer and then put in your ice chest. This seems like
a lot better answer than the other alternatives discussed.
