My pleasure Steven......I do not find Apol.
lineatus to be high maintaince at all however YMMV. They can be brought
to a higher temp with no real undesirable effects but I think a
prolonged bout with significantly lower temp.(55 to 60) would probably
either kill them or stress them to the point of a fatal disease. Get a
heater already...a 50 watt should suffice and they are cheap enough. I
always keep a couple
of small pumps and various watt submersible heaters "just in case".It
doesn't hurt to be prepared.

However $20.00 for Apol. lineatus is totally absurd and the LFS clerk
should ware a mask when he/she takes your money. This is just my opinion
and of course opinions vary.<VBG> Have a good day and
