Growing from cuttings is the easiest if you can find a tree along a creek. I
wonder about the effect of the salicylic acid from which the genus name Salix
is derived. Salicylic acid and salicylates (like aspirin) have medicinal
effects. I have not found any sources for seeds. I use Philodendron type
vines (from Peter Rollo) and they really help purify the water, in my
experience.
