I use a piece of the plastic mesh bags that mussels come in from the fish
market. It's like an onion bag with smaller mesh. Cut off a corner, put a small
stone for weight and tie it off with a pice of fishing line.
This is how I present all my food to the darters in a community tank that
would otherwise never be able to compete with the grabby shinners and sunnies.
With a powerhead that blows it current along the bottom, a steady flow of food
drifts along just off the bottom and simulates stream flow drift a great
stimulant to timid feeders!
