Yeah they repeated it recently, If more of the planet was cool swamps we
might still have those big salamanders but in warm swamps crocodilians rule,
salamanders drool! If I remember correctly there is reason to think a small
population of the huge 16 foot salamanders persisted through to the cretaceous on the
continent of anarctica due to it's cooler climate.
