When placing traps, it is also possible to drown crawfish when the O2 levels
are below their tolerance levels. I've been there and done that unfortunately!
Especially when the water that the traps are placed in suddenly turn from
flowing water to stagnant (black) water which is extremely low in dissolved
oxygen.
