I didn't have any parasites at all until I put the mummichog in the tank. I
knew I was taking a chance, but I needed the fish for a photo shoot, and put
them in the tank with all of the fish I picked up inexpensively at local
club auctions.

Within a week the mummi's and everyone else came down with loads of small
white parasites. Now, after about a month of treatment with the salt
solution, the visible parasites are gone, but the fish are still scratching.
One hypothesis is that the fish are scratching from something that the salt
solution didn't kill.

Water parameters are ok. The nitrites come out of the tap a little higher
than I'd like, but they're still in the safe range. I'm looking for another
treatment to kill off the remainder of the parasites.
