NANFA-- Texas "roach"

The other day, somebody on this list -- I'm sorry, I forget who -- inquired
about the identity of a Texas minnow called a "roach."

I was flipping through an old American Currents earlier today, and came across
ths tidbit: In some parts of Texas, the golden shiner (Notemigonus crysoleucas)
is called a roach.
