I live in Cherokee county and uses primarily "Fishes of Alabama and the
mobile basin".If you collect in the north west side of the state this book
is the best in my opinion (but it is not really a book to take on the
water).
My second book is also the peterson field guide which i use for the rest of
the state.
Maybe someday Georgia will have its own book.
