As Bruce said, the Peterson Field Guide. Here's a way to make it a local
field guide: Look at al the range maps in the rear of the book and make
notes of all the fishes that occur in the area you desire. Then go back into
the rest of the book with a yellow hiliter and highlight the selected
fishes.

There was a _Fishes of Georgia_ bulletin published by the Georgia Academy of
Science in 1971, but I've never seen it.
