Casper,

Isn't the Conasauga a wonderful place! We were there week before last with
the Forest Service and Conasauga River Alliance folks and a bunch of science
school teachers. They were having a workshop there and we were asked to serve
as snorkel guides. The Cherokee Natl. Forest has purchased masks, wetsuits
etc...for outtings like this. It was a great time and the teachers couldn't
believe how cool it was. We have helped them in years past with Nature
Conservancy groups. I wish more areas would institute trips like this.

We were lucky and saw 4 Conasauga logperch. I got some really good underwater
video of them flipping rocks. There were also blue shiners and holiday
darters to be seen and the tricolor and Alabama shiners were spawning.

Looks like we'll be doing work in the Tellico R. as well this year. I'm
looking forward to that! It can be a nice place as well.

When you coming out with us?!

J.R.
