Since I am known as a fish collector a couple of pet shop owners have asked
me to catch Lionfish for them to sell and they also stated that they liked
the idea of locally caught Lionfish. I tired to explain why this wasn't good
but didn't get very far. One pet shop actually mentioned that leopard sharks
would "cool" if they escaped and established themselves in our local waters.
We already have a local shark that is very much like the leopard shark in
question but not as colorful so maybe it couldn't happen but it is a scary
attitude.
