Perhaps someone in the media actually figured out that there could be "carp" that were pretty much the Lord of Darkness' spawn?

As I explained it to a co-worker yesterday when he asked "Why is this so bad?"...

"Imagine carp. What do you think of carp?"
"They're nasty and they're everywhere."
"Now... Imagine carp that can walk across land, live for 2 years in just mud, eat everything in sight, and get 3' long. What do you think about that?"
"Oh my."

I'm being completely serious. I don't see why an impassible fence isn't erected, with the water being drained thru a sterilizing filter, and the whole mud bed getting cooked with napalm. I don't think this problem is all that difficult.

My home page featured two news articles about the snakeheads today.
I wonder why this has captured so much media attention?
