Chip, I like your collecting stories. But I have a question for you: do you
guys always wear waders when collecting in the summer? If you're working on
a solid substrate like sand in a SC summer, it seems like it would be easier
to just wear some kind of wading shoes and go for a possible full immersion.
I rarely if ever use waders in Alabama from early April to October if I'm in
a sandy or rocky substrate stream.

Maybe this should be an addendum to the NANFA Code of Ethics: "Full exposure
to the collecting environment will be encouraged at all times."
