I posted this response a few days ago and it never showed up. I have ..'d out
a word and will see if that helps.

I have a small pond on my back deck which is over run with hair algae every
year. This year I put a pair of Florida Flag Fish in the pool. They have not
made a dent in the hair algae, but they have produced dozens of fry. Maybe the
hungry fry will eat the algae before they get interested in s...x in the pool.
