Ray,

I have kept American eels for some time. What is it that you would like to know?

I have found they will eat pretty readily and just about anything. I would make sure you close off your tank securely including any piping leading into filters or airlifts. They are pretty good at getting into where you least want them. I have also found that they will generally bury in to your substrate pretty quickly and stay inactive during the day and come out in the evening.

They are pretty hardy and tolerate a large salinity range and a pretty big temperature range.

If there is anything specific I can answer just let me know.
