You may want to verify that the leak is not the result of water
creeping up over the top edge of the tank. I've seen this happen
even with plastic frames siliconed on the tank. Try lowering the
water level and see if that stops it. Otherwise, the best thing may
be to scrape out the silicone and reseal it, making sure you force
the goop into all the seams as you go. Use a wide tougue depresser
or similiarly shaped tool to drag over the uncured sealant beads and
force them into full contact with the glass.
