One of the biggest killers of fry of killifish is ammonia. This happens when
excess food decays. The best prevention is continual water changes, but
another way is a mixture of small snails and Java moss. I also add a small
lettuce leaf to the snails and Java moss when they are left for a few days.
Seems to work for me.
