I don't want to offend anyone on the list who's a police officer, but I much
prefer police who speak to you bluntly to the modern, California-style
police who smile and ask you questions like, "Hi, whatcha doin' there?" with
hand on holster while they scrutinize the area for your discarded wine
bottle(s) which you must have or why are you in this area? You're on to
something with this line of research, Doug!

As many of us know, collecting fish or fooling around in a stream is a
serious bozo magnet. You'll quickly attract any available small children,
full time drunks, and cops.
