Hi All

I'll bet y'all are just sitting there thinking, "I sure wish they would
post another collecting trip in GA." Well, allright then, here goes.

For anyone interested, we'll be heading off to the area around Tallulah
Falls, GA, the weekend of July 13th. This still leaves you two full weeks
afterward to curry the good graces of your spouses before the convention.
Saturday, I made a scouting run to the area and was very pleased with what
I found. Very brief sampling in Stekoa Creek turned up yellowfin shiners,
sculpins, huge stonerollers, assorted sunfish, and what I believe to be
bluehead chubs. Every place I stopped had excellent visibility for
snorkeling.

We'll hit at least two streams in the area (Stekoa Creek & Big Panther
Creek), take a look at the spectacular Tallulah Gorge, and then go to a
third site yet to be determined. More details will follow as the date draws
closer. If you are interested in the overnight thing, cabins and campsites
abound. I took some great pix from the top of the Tallulah Gorge. If you'd
like to see one, contact me off-list. Now, who wants to go?
