I would like to reaffirm Bruce's assessment of the success of the
Convention. I believe every one came away with a renewed interest and commitment to
the organization and a lot of fun besides. Unfortunately, I did not get those
beautiful Tuskaloosa darters (E. douglasi) home alive. They had died by the
next morning, before I left Huntsville. I should have brought an extra bucket of
water for a water change from the river, but I was too tired to hike back down
from the parking area.
Next year, I will know better.
