I don't think there's any reason for this CNN article statement either: "In
a victory for environmentalists..."
Doesn't this do more harm than good? If there's a victor, there must be a
loser, too, right? That's going to make Chavez' statement more likely to
make some weird sense to people that don't know any better. This is a
crappy approach, but I also think people in the conservation movement made
a mistake by letting this perception persist. I wish the term
"environmentalist" would go away forever-- or maybe assign it to the
darters and hawks and bison-- they're the true environmentalists because
they can't change their situations.
