This law is similar is SC. If you have the ability to collect fish to place
in the auction, that's great. If you have taken the fish legally, but can't
sell them, you are welcome to trade with others that might be looking to do
the same thing.

I'd advise checking with your state Department of National Resources. In
Maryland, for example, you can't sell a fish collected in the state unless
you have a commercial fishing lisence.
