Can anyone on this list help me locate fish species native to northern
California? If you know anyone who has extra specimens or who knows of good
collection sites it would be very helpful. Turtle Bay in Redding, CA needs to
stock a new exhibit that will open this June which focuses on fish native to
the Sacramento River region. Some of the species we're looking for include
Sacramento pikeminnow, hardhead, Sacramento sucker, Sacramento perch,
Sacramento blackfish, splittail, roach, hitch, tule perch, and prickly
sculpin. Any help or contacts for any of these species would be greatly
appreciated.
