HERE'S THE STORY AND DETAILS!!!...

Announcing The Ohio Regional Chapter of The North American Native Fishes
Association's and The Mahoning River Consortium's Spring Outing, Saturday,
May 11th 2002. All are welcome to take part in this unique, fun and
educational opportunity to explore the little known natural wonders of area
streams, hosted by me, Rob Carillio. Yes folks, these are the same streams
you may cross over everyday on your way to work, or wherever you may be
going! You'll be amazed at the diversity of aquatic and terrestrial life
that make these habitats their home! In the spotlight this day will be the
amazing assemblage of the area's Native Fishes. Thought you had to go
snorkeling on a coral reef to see colorful fish??. Think again! Try
visiting a local stream! You will be in awe to see the local fishes in
their full Springtime breeding colors. Don't forget the camera!

See why fishes such as the Rainbow Darter and Southern Redbelly Dace are so
named! Also, witness the strange and unusual fishes such as Madtom Catfish,
and Mottled Sculpin! Learn about how these fishes and other aquatic life
play key a role in helping to maintain and keep our water resources clean
and your taxes lower! This and a lot more will be in store for this eventful
day! Sites are still being determined, but will stick within a 35 mile
radius of where we depart. We will meet at approximately 9:00 am, Saturday,
May 11th 2002, at The Warren Public Library in Downtown Warren. Carpooling
is strongly suggested, because it's not really a good idea to have 15 cars
showing up at a site where there would me minimal parking. If you plan on
attending, please wear old shoes and clothes of which you don't mind getting
wet or a bit dirty! Also, you might want to bring a sack lunch! PLEASE RSVP
BY APRIL 29TH by e-mailing or calling me, Rob Carillio at
darterman_at_hotmail.com or 330-393-4448 Also, if you need directions or any
other information, please don't hesitate to call or e-mail DON'T MISS THIS
ONE!!!...HOPE TO SEE YOU IN MAY!!!

Sincerely, Rob
