Yeah, I'll second that one. What they were initially intended for was micro
reef tanks (10 gallons or less) to help balance out heat recieved during the
photoperiod. That's fine at that size of delta... But at 55 degrees...
You'll be lucky to get just the excess heat from the lights to not move the
temp. Way too much water. And I'm sure those who've watched the marine
bulletin boards in the last year or so can tell all sorts of stories of
people getting their 55's drilled just for these... Only to see little to
zero change. Guess that's not such a bad thing tho... Then they have a
bulkhead ready to run water to the $700 1/3 hp chiller that they've <ahem>
now spent $800 for ;)
