Hello,

I am new to this list and would like to introduce myself. I am Rick Phillips
and I live in northeast Tennessee (Kingsport...same town as Ranger Bob) within
easy driving and collecting distance of the great Clinch River. I have been
interested in fish for as long as I can remember (although my college
education is as an ornithologist) and have fished, seined and dipnetted in
this area as long as I can remember. I have kept many native fish in aquaria,
and I'm getting ready to transfer some Cardinal Tetras to another tank and go
out collectin'.

I have lurked on the list on and off for 2 or 3 years. Last year about this
time I captured some video footage of Tennessee Dace as they spawned in a
local stream here. I meant to post some photos and offer up the video then,
but am just now getting around to it. I have posted a couple of quick video
grabs to http://photos.yahoo.com/phoxinus02 in a folder called fish. These
are not great photos..just captured from the streamside, but man...what wild
looking fish! I'll try to get some more as they should begin spawning any
time now.

Hope to join and contribute as time goes on. Thanks for all your information,
discussions, and entertainment!

Rick
