Hi all,

Today I caught a few small, fingernail sized whitish-pinkish mussels/clams in
a freshwater ditch that is nothing more than a drainage ditch under LA. Hwy 1
near the town of Plaquemine, Louisiana. This ditch is vernal and only has any
amount of water after rainfalls and if it weren't for the huge culverts that
retain moisture and a little water, it'd be totally dry. They are definately
bivalves and that's all I know about them.

Does anyone want to see them? Is there anyone on the list who are into the
mollusks?

Regards,

BG
