Mine will sometimes crawl up the sides, but usually just above the soil
line. You must be way to wet.

I use shoe box sized boxes, and also smaller trays, 2"deepX5"wideX8"long.
The smaller ones with multiple set ups seems to work. Easy to watch over,
and if one crashes, I have many more to back them up. I did want to set up a
large one like yours for red worms, but that sounds like its iffy to how
well they really produce.
