I voiced some angst about this a few weeks ago and had to post an OT message but its a pretty simple solution here...

State what it is you are looking for when its OT

and ask for DIRECT RESPONSE

I posted OT ...and got ONE response and that was the end of it...one email went to the list not 1 and 25 replies going farther off tangent.

I dont see the problem in that, you can see the persons email address so that shouldnt be an excuse. Or better yet...for those that do get into a habit of one line emails just add the person to your address book and reply to them..im sure most of you even know each others emails by now I know a good deal of the regular posting peoples just from seeing it so many times a day.

I too was gone for the weekend and picking through 250 emails was no fun, and caused me to seriuosly contemplate unsubscribing to the list. There is a wealth of information and experience to be shared by every memeber here...but we do need to all be a little more thoughtful before we post and realize you might save 50 of us alot of time if you need to email one or two people...
