To everyone in or near the Tennessee Valley -- I have arranged permission to
visit property on the upper reaches of the Paint Rock River in Jackson
County, AL, on Saturday, May 27, at about noon. The property is owned by the
family of a student at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I don't have
the directions yet, but I will either tomorrow or early next week. I
remember that Steven Ellis, Casper Cox and Martin Moore had expressed
interest in going (Dave Neely is in Maryland and outta this picture).

This will be my first trip to the hardcore 'bama hill country. This area has
high gradient creeks, with various darters and shiners especially. If you
are interested, please contact me off list at fundulus_at_hotmail.com. I'll be
away between tomorrow night and Sunday night, so be patient over the
weekend...

This could be the first Alabama regional trip!
