A robust AKA convention can attract several hundred people. The organization
has about 1300 members, and easily a quarter of them will attend a typical
convention, plus several dozen visiting foreigners and non-AKA members.
Plus, conventions are scheduled for Memorial Day weekend every year so that
everyone knows when they're happening, if not where. The policy is to
regularly move the convention site from east to west to midwest in a
surprisingly regular pattern; this year is Tampa, last year Chicago, etc.

And B.G., I'm sorry you were flamed on one of the killie lists for in part
being against property rights or some damn thing because of your posting. I
know that person, and I'm embarassed that he totally missed your point.
