Hey All,

Hang in there guys!!! We are planning a couple of collecting trips and
another regional meeting in MA. I met with Steve Smith at the Buttonwood
Park Zoo in New Bedford MA (yes, they are NANFA members) last week. They
would not mind us holding a regional NANFA meeting there..so I will be
working with them on it, they have great classroom type meeting rooms.

The Buttonwood Park Zoo is very easy to get to off of Interstate 195
(between Providence and Cape Cod). We plan on a quick meeting to see
what people are up to, and then a walk around the zoo (small, but
EXCELLENT!). I know fellow members would love to see the aquatic's
building with their trout stream, kettle pond, and estuary exhibits.
After the meeting, I would like to drag anyone who wants to go, down to
Fairhaven (next town over), to collect some marines and brackish fishes.
So a meeting/zoo trip/collecting trip all in the same day. The nice
thing is that it is all right off major highways, no back road travel!

Well I am off to the Florida Keys on the 18th to see Andy Borgia (NANFA
trading post editor). We are going on a southern Florida collecting
"expedition", 8 days of seining, dip netting, slide photography, etc.
When I return, we will have the meeting described above. It will be
posted to the list and all New England members will be notified either by
phone, e-mail, or by post.

Have fun everyone.............and get out there and COLLECT!
