Natives are still the same but there is a vast number of tropicals that
were not even known then...not even listed in Innes' book. That was the
fish bible then,
still a great book but somewhat outdated on a species list.
Most of the advise on collecting, setting up, planting, keeping and
breeding fish basically remains the same. In fact I have three "Exotic
Aquarium Fishes" books of various pub. dates by Wm.T. Innes (this
includes my very first aquarium book...his).
Monday will be a "quickie"....We leave at 6:00am and return at 2:00 pm.
just enough time to get the lay of the land and do a little collecting.
Then we will set up time to spend a day in that area exploring
more collection sites. I need to check out the water conditions (pH,
dH,TDS, Temp.,
Turbidity etc. for my records.
Only wish Martin could join us.....Well maybe "next time". What say you
Martin?
I would like to tempt B G into joining us also....How about it Beeg ?
Have fun and stay well,
Leo
