On this note, I had a Southern banded water snake in our goldfish pond and
after several attempts at trapping or netting it, I gave up and placed my
galvanized wire minnow trap on solid ground beside the goldfish pond, and
Presto!

The next morning it was curled up inside the trap.....couldn't have worked
better if I'd intentionally tried to catch it in this manner!
