I have totally given up on carrying fish onboard airplains while traveling.
It is way too much hassle and expense. Mailing fish is preferable. For the
$50-$70 fee charged by airlines even willing to ship fish at all, you can
overnight a lot of fish. Not that I use overnight, but you could for the
cost. I usually use priority mail with very few losses.
