The July 2003 issue of Tropical Fish Hobbyist magazine is a special issue
totally devoted to "Piscine Patriotism: Native North Americans."

NANFA members contributed the following articles:

"Made in America" -- an overview of North American freshwater fish diversity
-- by yours truly

"Native Fish Collecting: Techniques and Regulations" -- by Rob Denkhaus
(with a certain Bob Bock making his modeling debut)

"Store-Bought Natives" -- how to get natives without getting wet -- by Bob
Bock

"Florida: Collectors' Paradise" -- collecting natives in the Sunshine State
-- by Charles A. Nunziata (part 2 of this article, focusing on FL exotics,
will appear in the Aug. issue)

"Native Fish Conservation: From Hobbyist to Professional" -- by J.R. Shute
and Patrick L. Rakes of Conservation Fisheries, Inc.

"Fundulus Killifishes: North American Natives from Every Environment, for
Every Taste" -- by NANFA prez and 2003 Convention host Bruce Stallsmith

In addition, regular TFH columnists have contributed native-themed columns
(Olive Winterwood on pupfishes, Wayne Leibel on cichlids, and Richard Sexton
on native plants).

This issue also marks the debut of a new column, "Meet the Hatchery." The
debut is all about Mark Binkley and Jonah's Aquarium.

I understand that copies will be available at the Convention.

Dare I say, it's the best issue of TFH ever!
