Try using an eyedropper to deliver your food. I have used a large eyedropper
(and nothing else besides hand feeding) for years to feed and target all my
fish. The eyedropper I use came from a bottle and has a screw top thingy.
All I did was make the hole at the end a bit bigger with an exacto knife,
just make sure you wash up good beforehand. This method produces little
waste as a result, keeping all my fish well fed and my bottom free of
decaying food. The eyedropper also makes a nice tool for sucking bits of
gunk from the bottom and acclimates the fish to having your hand in the
tank. Sometimes I use the dropper to propel aggressive feeders away from the
others.
All the best,
-Spike
