hi bob...
the convention will be held on the campus of the university of alabama at
huntsville. the hotel, restaurant, cafeteria and meeting rooms are all immediate
and within easy walking distance. bruce showed me around last weekend and he
has organized these nice facilities for our gathering and at a minimal cost to
us / nanfa. an excellent combination. bruce also showed me the spring park
where the whiteline topminnow was extrapaited. interesting site. lots of concrete
with a merging of the sheer bluff to the surrounding architecture. lots of
folks will arrive thursday night to settle in and chatt. bruce and i will
probably be putting the final touchs on the meeting room and lounge area. if anyone
can arrive a bit early thursday to help out that would be great. chairs to
move, chalkboards to clean, banners to hang, etc.
this year you and leo are the honored guests for all the work you guys did
for 2002! now you get to sit back and enjoy! ( this year i almost feel like im
repeating 1998 w/ all the work ive done! )
we will be putting up blue and green nanfa signs to help orient folks too.
once you get to the university it will be easy to find the bevil center / hotel
/ meeting rooms. just follow the fish. :)
