They seem to be here yearly. I don't know what species. There appear to be
two types. One with higher pitched buzzing sound, and one with a lower
pitched droning sound. The lower pitched ones are heard along rivers and the
high pitched ones in dry areas.

They sure sound nice, and you know when you here them it is nice and warm
out. Probably another reason I enjoy hereing them, like the peepers and wood
frogs calling in spring.
