Well, I agree that the story was heavily reported, but it's not just a
question of a snakehead turning up in one small pond. More than a thousand
turned up in a small pond about 60 yards next to the Patuxent River, which
eventually feeds into the Chesapeake Bay. Aside from the one snakehead that
turned up in local parklake near my house--also in the Potomac drainage,
three snakeheads have turned up in the Potomac River proper.
