Get rid of it now while you can, it will find a place to hide and slowly eat
every fish you ever put in your aquarium. I had one hid for five years beneath
the UG plate (totally non functional, not even any lift tubes). It went from
about 3 inches to 2 feet while never being seen in a 15 gallon tank! When I
took down the tank, totally unexpectedly, I had a huge eel jump out of the tank
and start across the floor. My dog almost died of a heart attack! Either that
or it will jump out and be found months later as a small dried up dust crunchy.
